Previous sporting interests: Played football for Carrowdore, Regent House, Belfast Schools and Dundee University. Played Rugby for Regent House and Donaghadee and spent years riding Motocross bikes although not competitively.
Racing Family Interest: My Dad, Norman, was a multiple Ulster and Irish 350cc Classic Short Circuit and Road Race Champion, won at the Ulster Grand Prix and has 125cc experience at the North West 200 and Isle of Man TT.
My Uncle David was a 200cc Irish Road Race Champion whilst both my Uncle Brian and cousin Nigel were 80cc Champions.
Hobbies: Training at the Gym, Five a Side Football and Spending time wih my kids.
Favourite Racing moments: Bishopscourt 2002 - Set new lap record for the 250cc Aprilia class on route to 3rd place, the top four were covered by half a second at the flag.
Oulton Park 2005 - 1st time at the track and I clawed back a four second deficit to win by one tenth of a second.
Croft 2006 - After a major highside crash on the Saturday I bounced back to become only the second rider to win the prestigious Ken Redfearn Memorial Trophy on Sunday morning. The first winner was Joey Dunlop in 1984.
Bishopscourt 2007 - came from behind to win the first Irish Superbike race in front of the Easter Saturday crowds.
Croft 2007 - Eight podium finishes from nine race starts in one weekend including four wins and the 'Laird of Croft' title.
